硅谷回音演讲团的领导班子全部都是由青少年组成。女儿是最早进入演讲团的几名成员之一，现担任秘书长一职，主要任务是张罗大家开会、设定议题、会议记录等事宜。爱美丽是一个非常有个性，又很会活跃气氛的女孩，她常会提出有创意的小点子，使活动变得丰富多彩，活泼有趣，颇受大家欢迎。在这样的团队中，爱美丽学到了许多书之外没有的东西，既帮助她成熟，也帮助她成长，更丰富了她的人生阅历。作为母亲，我也看见她的领袖才能正在渐渐突现出来。

前天，爱美丽秘书长给全团成员发了一封伊妹儿，召集大家在一起开个碰头会，主题是对前阶段的工作做总结，对未来的工作做规划和展望。会议时间是星期天下午6-8点，地点就在我家，大家随意带些吃的，主食由我家准备。

秘书长爱美丽的伊妹儿是这样写的：

1.       1, A summary of what we have done so far from the past seminars。

对前阶段的演讲活动做总结

2.       2, What we will do for the next seminars (Saratoga High School and Leland High School). Jennifer and Nick, please please please update what is going to happen at YOUR school. Thanks.

接下来的两次演讲即将来临，我们必须做哪些准备。Jennifer和Nick，请你们陈述你们在各自就读的高中做的宣传进展情况。

3.       3, New leadership roles for the team. Please prepare what you think you're capable of and what you would like to/will contribute to next year's BayEcho team.

新一届的领导班子改选在即。请有意愿参加竞选的人，准备一份竞选演说，阐述如果当选，明年将为硅谷回音团队做哪些实质性的贡献。

4.       4, Angela and Kevin to present to us about what they are going to do for the website (BayEcho.org). 

Angela和Kevin对于他们所负责的青少年网站BayEcho.org进展，作一个阐述。

5.       5, Discuss what we can do to in the future to help out the community even more as teenagers. (Ex: we can make our own interviews to get a more "in-depth" response from people. Like video taping, and making a mini-movie out of it. It could be great for the audience at the seminars!! It will reach out to other organizations and everything.) So let's discuss IDEAS as a group!

这次碰头会，我们还将讨论在未来时间里，我们如何帮助社区更多的青少年成长。（比如。。。）让我们拿出自己的想法，在小组会上热烈讨论吧！

孩子们和他们的辅导员DeeDee一起，在客厅讨论。憨豆也出席了讨论会。

讨论完毕，他们邀请家长加入提出建议。

会场转移到餐厅，边吃Pizza边谈论换届选举新领导班子的事。

孩子们各自表述之后，纷纷举手，表示愿意加入新领导班子，为社区服务。他们还制定了暑期活动计划。
