漫步在超过250年树龄、延绵1/4英里长的橡树巷道之中，轻拂的微风将我们带入到了遥远的南部那辉煌的历史回忆之中。这里也许是最受摄影师青睐的私家庄园，甚至有好几部电影和电视剧选择在这里拍摄。
 
    大约在新奥尔良州成立的1718年之前，第一任房主选择了这片紧邻密西西比河的土地，当时的幼橡树已经在这片土地上深深地扎下了根。房屋的装修工程持续了若干年，许多材料均从欧洲运来，最后成为当地著名的庄园，不过大多数密西西比河的旅行者还是对橡树巷道留下更深的印象。
 
    庄园历经风雨，几番易主，最后的第五任房主史都华一家决定成立一个非盈利基金，让所有喜欢橡树巷庄园的人们共享这里的历史和美景，今天这里已经成为一家举世闻名的旅游旅馆。
