La Française des Jeux introduces new features to its emblematic LOTO® game

 

After the success of the relaunch of LOTO® game in 2008, la Française des Jeux (FDJ®) is introducing new features aims at providing a new momentum to its 21 million players.

 

LOTO® is offering a new formula with 2 different playslips as from October 7.

 

The traditional LOTO® offer remains unchanged (same price, mechanics and prize structure).

 

The only changes are in the playslip:

 

· 6 boards (instead of 5) on the same playslip;

 

·1 ‘Chance Number’ (bonus ball) for each board (instead of one per playslip;

 

· A unique playslip for both simple game and systems (instead of 2 separate playslips for each game formula).

 

But the real innovation is the introduction of new options on a specific playslip.

 

From October 7, players can participate to 3 new options on a new playslip (Multi Options playslip) to ‘win more, more often, immediately’:

 

· The ‘Compte Double’ option (€1 per grid) allowing players to double his winnings from 2 to 5 correct numbers. Moreover, the top prize (5 correct numbers + 1 Chance number) is enhanced by €1 million per player; · The ‘Duo’ option (€2 for the 2 grids) allowing players to combine the correct numbers from both grids to get additional winnings from €2 to €2,000;

 

· The ‘Double Chance’ option (€1 per grid) allowing players to participate to an instant draw printed on a 2nd receipt to win from €1 to €1 million in addition to the winnings of the traditional LOTO® draw.

 

Furthermore from mid-October, a new LOTO® Mobile and Tablet application will be available with 6 different game modes.

 

In connection with the new offers, an exceptional SUPER LOTO® will be organized on October 12 as well as an exceptional Jackpot on November 10 in order to build current players loyalty but also to attract new players.

 

 

The launch of the new formula will be supported by a new multi-media campaign: TV, Radio, Print, Web with 5 new advertising spots as well as a new claim represented by the “Millionaires’ counter”: “Are you ready to become the Xth millionaire LOTO® of the year?”

 

With sales of €1.5 billion in 2011, LOTO® has acquired legendary status with 97% brand awareness.

 

 

In 2008, FDJ revamped its LOTO® which has seduced 1 million additional players. Some of the enhancements include new mechanics, larger winnings and jackpots, new draw day as well as the introduction of the ‘Chance Number’ allowing the refund of player’ stake.
