When I was eight years old, I started to learn English. However, at first, I wasn’t able to memorize hundreds of new words. So I felt depressed and wanted to give it up. But just then, my father had a talk with me. He encouraged me and said that he would give me a hand. I was moved by his words and made up my mind overcoming the difficulty. With the help of my father, I recited the new words four times a day and read them again and again. At last, I could easily memorize them and I improved my English greatly. I was quite proud of myself and thankful to my father.

Last week, I met such a difficulty that I couldn’t overcome it at once. The difficulty was that I didn’t do a good job in the Maths exam. I was so upset that I didn’t want to study any more. But suddenly I realized I should face and overcome it because it was a valuable experience which could help me to learn more. Then I tried to relax myself and started to study harder than before. In the next exam, I did well and everyone was surprised at my changes. I thought I had overcome the difficulty. That was why I felt very happy.

There are many difficulties in everyone’s life. And I also met a difficulty, it was a Maths problem. It was so difficult that most of my friends couldn’t work it out. However, I was a strong-minded person, so I didn’t give it up. I looked at it carefully, finally I found a way to solve it. When I overcame the difficulty, I felt really happy and pleased as well. I was proud of myself!
