玉都观俗称吕祖庙或吕祖坛，是肥城规模较大，建筑雄伟的道观之一。前大殿五脊顶，单飞檐，环廊式，20根石立柱支撑檐面。石柱刻有多副真、草、隶、篆体楹联。各具风彩，利落遒劲。大殿建在高1米、长14.3米、宽11米的莲花石砌成的台座上，周围饰花鸟虫兽浮雕；外墙雕画《西游记》神话故事图案。构图新颖，变化万千，刀法细腻，工艺精湛，独具特色，是一座壮观的石刻艺术。

　　从岳阳三醉以还胜地驻仙踪夜月一樽黄鹤舞， 
　　具丹篆千年之术名山留古刹春风几度碧桃开。 
　　殿门两边是浑朴庄重的正楷联： 
　　棲神挟海岳风云岂但洞庭岭南长留仙迹， 
　　择地居圣贤桑梓须知元气真道不外儒宗。 
　　大殿前廊正面石柱上是潇洒飘逸的行书联： 
　　山色水色烟霞色只是要修养大众各明本性， 
　　松声竹声钟罄声无非欲振起群生共发婆心。

后殿距前殿约40米，大起脊，硬山式，砖石结构。殿内用石立柱支撑。其中两根为透雕，上雕卷云纹，中雕盘龙，下雕荷花，工艺细腻生动。抱厦石柱础为石狮。
