We are Zhao Qiang’s new mother and father. We wanted to write you a letter to express our appreciation for the excellent care that Qiang received while at Angel House and to update you on life in his new family.

 

As you know Zhao Qiang, who is now called Henry Qiang Horvath, has been home with us in New York State in the United States for seven months. He is an only child. In addition to Mom and Dad， Henry lives in a house with yard. Henry has a cat named Sneakers. His grandmothers visit often. His entire extended family is completely in love with him.

 

Henry turned two in June and had a birthday party with all of his new family and friends. Since we met Henry, we have noticed how much he loves being around other children. Even at the registration office on the day that we met, he stared at the other children. I am sure that if he could tell us, he would let us know how much he enjoyed being around the other children at Angel House. We are forever grateful for the wonderful experiences that he had while there.

While we were waiting for Henry, we found many pictures of him on the Internet. It provided us with great comfort to know that he was so loved while in China. We would check www.angelmom.org and Angel Mom’s blogs every day to see if there were new pictures or video. We wanted so badly to visit Angel House, but did not want to jeopardize the adoption in any way or do anything to put our agency in an uncomfortable situation. One day in the future, we hope to visit China, and would love to visit Angel House with Henry. 

 

When we met Henry at the registration office in Henan, we did not understand that we would not get another chance to see the ladies from Angel Mom who traveled with Henry. We thought that they would be at the registration office the next day as well. We apologize for moving across the room with him when everyone was still there. We were not trying to get away, but only to sit down as it was difficult to hold him when he was squirming and upset. We wish that we had more opportunity to speak and it will forever be our biggest regret that our time together was so short. Clearly you were very important to Henry. We are wondering if we could have pictures and names of caregivers and friends to help Henry remember his start in life. We have provided our email and mailing addresses at the end of the letter in the hopes that we can maintain contact.

Here are some characteristics that we see in Henry that we know originated at Angel House ?Henry loves music and loves to dance, he still prefers to be held on an adult’s shoulder, he loves other children and loves taking care of his baby cousins. Henry is a little comedian ?he is always trying to get others to laugh.

 

Our climate in New York is similar to Beijing . Warm summers and cold winters. Henry is really enjoying playing outside in the sandbox and on the neighborhood playground. He likes going to the lake with his BaB? Some of his other current interests are toy cars and trucks, tractors,  animals, trains, flowers, and going for rides in his wagon.

 

Henry’s feet are very nearly perfect. He wears braces during the day, as he did in China, and has a brace to sleep in at night. He is very active and lets nothing slow him down. He loves to run and climb on the playground with his friends. He loves to watch people ride bicycles. He is still too little for his tricycle, but someday he will be riding with everyone else. He also loves to hang from rings and bars. I have seen in pictures that you have a hanging bar at Angel

House.

 

If you have it, we would really appreciate as much information about Henry’s past as you are able to give us pictures, records, etc. As you know, it is important for Henry to know as much about his early life as possible.

 

While searching for information about Henry on the Internet, we became fond of the other children at Angel House as well. It is clear from their smiles that they are all well cared for and loved.

    你们知道的赵强，现在我们给他起名叫Henry Qiang Horvath，他已经和我们在美国的纽约一起生活了7个多月了，他是家里唯一的孩子，除了爸爸妈妈之外，Henry住的房子带有一个院子，他有一只猫，名叫Sneakers，祖母经常来看望他，整个家庭都全心全意的爱他。

    当我们在等待Henry的到来时，在网上发现发现了许多关于他的照片，它为我们提供了很大的心里安慰，让我们知道他在中国是如此的被爱着，被呵护着。我们会每天检查www.angelmom.org和天使妈妈的博客，看看是否有新的图片或视频。

 

    我们非常想要访问天使之家，但我们不想以任何方式或者做任何事情强制的去接纳令我们的机构处于一种不舒服的境地。

 

    将来有一天，我们希望去中国，并且带着Henry一起去拜访天使之家。

 

     当我们在河南民政处见到Henry 时，不能理解的是我们没有机会再见到带Henry来的天使之家的负责人，我们认为她第二天还会在那里。表示歉意的是当大家都在而我们在屋子里来回走动，我们没有想要离开的意思，但只是想在他心烦或不适时想去平静。我希望我们有更多的以交流的机会，我们在一起的时间是如此的短暂那将成为我内心中永久的遗憾，显然你对于他来说很重要。我们在想，是否我们能有图片和照顾者或者朋友的名字来帮助Henry帮助记得他的人生最初的生活经历。我们将提供我们的电子邮件和邮件地址在信的末端，希望今后可以保持联系。

 

    这里我们发现了Henry的一些性格特点，他在天使之家就这样吗？他喜欢听音乐和热爱跳舞，他任然喜欢爬靠在成人的肩膀上，他非常喜欢孩子而且经常照顾他的表兄弟，他是一个小喜剧演员，经常逗大家开心。

 

    纽约的气候和北京相似。夏天温暖冬天寒冷，Henry非常喜欢在外面的沙箱以及在附近的操场上玩耍。 他也喜欢与他的BaB去湖边玩耍， 他目前感兴趣的玩具是汽车、卡车、拖拉机、动物、火车，花并把这些放在在他的无盖货车上。

     Henry的脚接近完美。白天像他在中国那样，他穿着矫正鞋，晚上有另外一双睡觉穿。他是非常活跃的，让他慢下来很不容易。他喜欢和他的朋友们在操场上活动，爬上爬下。他喜欢看人骑自行车。他在三轮车上，仍然是显得太少了。但有一天，他也将与其他人一起骑。他也喜欢挂环和。从照片上我了解到，在天使之家你们也有一个秋千。

 

    如果您有关于Henry过去的图片，记录等，我们真的希望你能够给尽可能提供给我们，这对于Henry了解他早期生活很重要。
    当我们在网上搜索关于Henry的信息时，我们也非常喜欢天使之家的其他孩子，从他们的笑容里我们确定，他们都被很好的照顾 ，得到很好的爱。
