Biography:

Ma Jingyi, born into a medical family in Mian Yang, China in 1981, has a great turn of literature and literary criticism, especially on the Chinese classic work A Dream of Red Chamber. As a young scholar, he serves  as a member of Department of Chinese Literature and History in American Academy of International Culture Studies, and also as a member in Sichuan Province's Writers' Society. He finished his undergraduate studies in Sichuan University in 2003, worked as a instructor in Chengdu College of Sichuan Normal University afterwards, and then received his M.A degree from Southwest Jiaotong University. His numerous papers have been published on the journals of different levels in China. In 2003, his treatise The Dream Structure Theory on A Dream of Red Chamber was openly published, which marked the birth of a new theory---The Dream Structure Theory. This treatise won the first prize in Philosophical and Social Sciences Studies Achievements. The Trace of  Dreams, his essay collection, came off the press in 2005. He has been invited by many colleges in China to deliver lectures on Redology and noted as a young redology scholar.
