    本周，我被大连市评为 “大连经济十年特别贡献奖”，对此我倍感荣幸！这一荣誉是对英特尔在大连市的长期承诺及贡献的肯定，我非常高兴能够代表英特尔和大连芯片厂领奖。

    目前，大连芯片厂发展顺利，正按计划走向量产。这些成绩都离不开大连市政府和大连经济开发区政府、社区以及我们所有员工的大力支持。我们希望大连芯片厂能够成为推动大连高科技行业发展的引擎，并为本地和区域经济发展做出重要贡献。同时，我们也非常希望通过展示英特尔对大连的信心，能够带动更多高科技公司前来大连投资。

    自投产以来，最令我自豪的是：大连芯片厂是中国 “绿色制造”方面的领先企业！我们已经采用了所有英特尔全球工厂中最先进的环保节能措施与流程，并且还将不断改进与提高。未来，我们还将继续采用创新技术来降低生产过程对环境产生的影响。

    大连芯片厂的员工非常优秀！对此我感到非常欣慰，因为他们是大连芯片厂最大的财富。我们将继续加强员工培训，使其为自己的职业发展做好充分的准备。同时，我们还将继续在社区中发挥模范企业公民的作用，鼓励员工成为社区志愿者，参与本地学校项目，帮助提升本地儿童教育水平。

I was greatly honored to receive the “Dalian Top 10 Economic Figures” award from Dalian this week. This award is recognition of Intel long term commitments and contributions to Dalian. It was a great honor for me to receive this award on behalf of Intel and Fab 68.

Fab 68 is moving very smoothly in our ramp up of production, and this has been made possible by the great support of the Dalian and DDA government, the community and the wonderful employees of Fab 68. Intel’s desire is to make Fab 68 the engine that drives the high tech industry growth in Dalian and a significant contributor to the local and regional economic development. It is our desire that our confidence in the capability of Dalian will encourage other technology companies to invest in Dalian as well.

One area that I am most pleased about is Fab 68’s role as a leader in green manufacturing in China. Fab 68 has implemented all of the most advanced environmental and energy saving methods and procedures that we have in our factories worldwide, and we are continuously looking to improve. Fab 68 will continue to adopt innovative technologies to reduce our footprint on the environment.

In addition to our focus on the environment, we also recognize that our employees are our greatest asset. We will continue to focus on the training of our employees and prepare them for their own career growth. We will also continue to be a role model corporate citizen in our community by encouraging our employees to volunteer in the community, and to participate with the local school systems to aid in the enhancement of the Children’s education in Dalian.
