News 1： The number of villagers affected by arsenic-contaminated water in He Chi City, has increased to 200, according to statistics released by the local government on Wednesday afternoon.

Environmental monitoring measures indicated the villages' water source was polluted by industrial waste from a nearby metallurgy enterprise, which has since been closed.

Authorities said torrential rain during Typhoon Hagupit on Sept 25 caused an overflow of wastewater that polluted nearby ponds and wells.

They have been sealed off indefinitely. The local fire brigade has sent safe water to the affected villages at noon and 5 pm every day since Oct 3.

According to industry sources, Hechi stopped operation of all smelting plants on Wednesday for the next two months for inspection.

My personal opinion is that the public show prove nothing, please do not use this kind excuse to fool public security!!! How many times to repeat this kind tragic story? Why always hurt the common public in China? What is the ROOT CAUSE(es) for this toxic release? Who should responsible for the loss? Who protect public in China? We hold the government accountable for supervising safe production and individual safety and security as we know without solid supervision there will be no safety speak of, however, what are those responsible government agency doing? what the hell they are doing every day? They make good money from public, at mean time they should burdon the responsibilities too... I am so frustrated and disappointted.
