help可以当动词,名词使用,都是“帮忙”的意思。

当名词时为不可数名词,而当动词时,用法会依想表达的意思而有所不同.

我们先看help当动词的用法,一般来说,要表示“帮助某人做某事”的句型为:help sb(to)do sth,其中to可以省略.需注意的是help之后的动词一定要用原形.此外,help之后还可以用介系词with接事或物,同样表示“帮助某人做某事”.

Laura helped me(to)plan my trip.萝拉帮我规划我的旅游行程

Tod helped his mother with the dishes.陶德帮他妈妈收拾碗盘.

再来看看help当名词的用法:

Thank you for your help.谢谢你的帮助.

Ask the teacher if you need help.如果你有需要,可以请老师帮忙.

help除了上述的一般用法之外,还有几个常见的用法:

1.Help yourself.你自己来.

A:Everything looks delicious.每样东西看起来都好好吃喔.

B:Thank you.Please help yourself.谢谢,要吃自己拿喔.

2.I can't help it.我忍不住.

A:Stop staring at that girl!别再盯著那女孩看了!

B:I can't help it! She's so beautiful!我忍不住嘛!她实在太美了!

3.Help!救命啊!

Help!Somebody call an ambulance!救命啊!叫救护车!

can’t help to do sth = 不能帮助做某事
　　can’t help doing sth = 禁不住做某事，情不自禁地做某事
　　请看例句：
　　I can’t help to do it. 我不能帮忙做这事。
　　He couldn’t help to wash the clothes. 我不能帮忙洗衣服。
　　She couldn’t help smiling. 她禁不住笑了起来。
　　She couldn’t help envying Helen. 她不由得不妒忌海伦。
　　We cannot help being impressed by their zeal.

我们不由得不被他们的热情感动。
　　英语有时还可说can’t help somebody doing something不能使某人不做某事。如：
　　I couldn’t help him saying that. 我不能让他不这样说。
　　We couldn’t help them seeing us. 我们无法让他们不看到我们。
　　She could not help the tears of rage rolling down her face. 她止不住她愤怒的眼泪顺着面颊流下来。
