    在河南武陟，有一块神奇的土地。在这块土地上，每年农历二月初二开始车马轴集，人头攒动，锣鼓喧天，龙飞凤舞，香烟缭绕，聚各乡各村民间艺术之精英，汇山南海北之百货，传青龙民女之神话，结倩男靓女之情缘……这就是万花庄青龙宫庙会。
    青龙宫二月二庙会历史悠久。青龙宫原名青龙祠，又名龙王庙，始建于明永乐年间，位于武陟县城西北1公里龙源镇万花庄中部。清嘉庆十八年（公元1813年）奉旨改建为青龙宫，赐御匾“惠普中州”。
青龙宫源于一个动人的传说：据清道光《武陟县志》记载，青龙神在明永乐年间假身为贫少年，受雇于万花高家，夜间现身浇灌田亩，高家以女妻之。白青龙归隐云台山青龙峡，高女亦逝，托梦与亲人，凡遭遇旱灾，前去求雨，有求必应。高家为龙王奶奶建冢，官府为龙王建龙王庙，香火旺盛。
    二月初二是龙抬头的日子，也是庙中神主白青龙的生日。四百多年来，中州大地的老百姓为使一年四季风调雨顺，到龙王庙祭祀。青龙宫香火旺盛，各村各庙宇的经担、旱船、盘鼓、高跷、大驾等民间艺术百余路都来庙内演出，八方商贾云集，九州百货畅流，官府出资请名团名角唱大戏五天庆贺，十万多观光客争睹胜景，热闹非凡。
    青龙宫白青龙与民间女幸福结合的神奇传说，人民对风调雨顺的祈求，形成了青龙宫庙会。二月二庙会规模大，以青龙宫为中心，村内各条大街，村外空地，熙熙攘攘，人山人海，每年都超过十万人次；民间信仰与社会企盼息息相关；文化活动与物资交流融为一体；官府重视，慷慨出资；会期长，正会五天；祭祀和文化娱乐融为一体；活跃城乡物资交流，成为武陟第一、怀庆府著名的大庙会。
