43.First Floor and Second Floor
             第一层和第二层

   Bruce and Dick are friends.They are in Class 3,Grade

       布鲁斯和迪克是好朋友。    他们都在一年三班。

1.Bruce is twelve and Dick is eleven.Bruce comes from

         布鲁斯12岁，迪克11岁。      布鲁斯来自

England and Dick comes from America.They live in the

        英国，迪克来自美国。          他们住在北京的

same building in Beijing.

    同一座楼里。

    “I live on the first floor.”Bruce says.

        “我住在‘the first floor’”布鲁斯说。

     “I live on the first floor.”Dick says.Their

      “我住在‘the second floor’”迪克说。他们的

friends ask them.“Do you live on the same floor？”

   朋友问他们，     “你们住在同一层楼吗？”

         Bruce answers,“No,Dick lives on the ground floor.”

         布鲁斯回答，         “不，迪克住在一层。”

        Dick answers,“No,Bruce lives on the second floor.”

            迪克回答，      “不，布鲁斯住在二层。”

         Do you know why?

          你知道为什么吗？

         Because in England“the first floor”is the same

           原来在英国“the first floor”就是

as “the second floor”in America.

    美国的“the second floor”。
