Before going down to Florida, I had this seven-day trip planned carefully so that I can watch sunrise at the famous Daytona Beach. In addition to watching the sunrise over the sea, I actually wanted to take some sunrise pictures as I was never able to do so.

I arrived at Daytona Beach in the late afternoon on June 29 after being driving through five cities on both east and west coast of Florida in four days. In order to capture a decent sunrise picture, people usually need to get to the location at least thirty minutes ahead of the estimated time of sunrise.

Estimated time of sunrise was around 6am at that time. Exhausted as I was, I overslept and finally got up around 6:30am on June 30.

I knew that I was late and I must have missed the best timing to take a picture of sunrise. I still rushed to the beach. To my surprise, the sun was blocked by thick clouds!

I knew instantly that my dream will come true at Daytona Beach!

No matter how thick the cloud is, the sun always breaks through it.

No matter how difficult the break through is, the sun always the winner in the end.

When I was on the beach waiting for the sun’s break through, I felt like that I was in the shower of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (Eroica), Symphony No. 5, Symphony No. 6 (Pastoral), and Symphony No. 9 (Choral).
