本节课的对话部分所提及的内容在本书整个六个单元中是最能激发学生学习兴趣的部分。通过本节课的学习能让学生建立起热爱英语学科浓厚兴趣。本节课的阅读部分能激发学生去拜访世界十大最高建筑物的热情。

二、教学目标及教学重难点

Knowledge aims: let them master some useful expressions

Ability aims:  to improve the ss’reading ability

Emotion aims: by learning this part,it will stimulate them to visit many countries.

Important points:how to let them find out the main idea

Difficult points:how to let them pronounce english well

三、学习者特征分析

高一下学期经过大浪淘沙后，普通班级学生英语的基础特别差，表达能力弱，班级整体英语水平不高。能听懂英语的人寥寥无几，但是经过一个半月的教学后，他们逐渐的建立了自信心，养成了主动完成作业的好习惯，很多同学对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣。成绩好的同学本册书英语单词，短语基本能按照老师的要求背会，成绩不好的同学在不断的尝试说英语动笔写英语，用英语交流。总之，高一15班的学生每个都在进步中。
