1. 辨析:surprise v.&n.“使惊奇;惊奇”       surprised adj.“感到惊奇”,常用结构:be surprised ,主语常为“人”.       
surprising adj.“使人惊讶的,出人意料的” ,主语常为“物”
2. 辨析:interest n.“兴趣,爱好”       
 intereted adj.“使人感兴趣的…”常用结构:be intereted in,  主语常为“人”     
 interesting adj.“有趣”, 主语常为“物”
3. 辨析:relax v.“使放松,放松”      
relaxed adj.“放松的,松懈的” 常用结构:be relaxed, 主语常为“人”       
 relaxing adj.“令人放松的”, 主语常为“物”
II. 知识网络
1. First,you need to get ready.
get/be ready意为“做准备”
get/be ready for… “为……做好准备”
be ready to ……“准备做……”
2.The cardboard will hold the water up!
hold up 在句中意为“托住,向上托起”,up是副词,宾语是代词时,要放在hold与up中间。
3.It pushes down on us from above
push down意为“向下按”;push up意为“向上推”
