Content: Reading (P8--9)
Four skills:

Phrases: chat with sb., over a river, climb the ladder, get into my

Teaching Procedures:
Warming up: Enjoy some pictures of homes around the world

1. Four characters
1) We are going to talk about four new friends today. Who are
they?(ppt. ) (again revise the four names “Stephen, Madee, Neil,
Anna" quickly )
2) Do they live in the same country? Where do they live? Please
read the four passages quickly and tell me.
3) Ss match the people with the places and practice by the
song.

1) What’s Stephen’s home like? Look at your books, listen to
Stephen and answer some questions.

本环节的设计目的一是检查学生课前的预习情况;二是根据以往的经验,学生在本课四位小主人翁的名字以及他们的居住地等单词的读音上存在较大的问题,故想通过课前的充分预习及检查,为新课的顺利进行扫除一定的障碍。
