归纳Where 的用法
一、where引导的定从、地点状语从句
where引导的定从，其前有表地点的先行词，意为“。。。的地方”既起到连接作用，又在从句中做状语  （where == in、on、at +which ）
This is the house where （= in which ） he once lived。
One morning an elephant was led down the road where （= on which） they stood。
After living in Paris, he returned to the small town______ he grew up as a child.
   A/ which    b/ where   c/ that    d/ when
Is this the house _____ Shakespeare was born.
   A/ at where   b/ which   c/ in which    d/ at that
二、where引导地点状语从句时，其前无表地点的先行词。where从句是用来修饰主句的谓语动词，where是从属连词意为“。。。的地方”或意为“在（到）。。。的地方”。
Put the book where it was.
Young people should go where they are most needed.
注意：where引导地点状语从句可以转换成where引导的定从.=== at/in /to the place where…….put the book at the place where it was
 young people should go to the place where they are most needed.
You should make it a rule to leave things ____ you can find them again.
  A/ when   b/ where    c./then   d/ there
After the war, a new school was put up_____ there had been a theatre.
  A/ that   b/ when   c/ which   d/ where
三、where误区一
不分析句子结构和关联词在句中应担当的成分,一看见地点的先行词, 盲目地使用关系副词where.
In the library where the students are looking through newspapers and magazines.
I live in Beijing ,where is the capital of China.
Is this factory where we visited last week ?
Is this the factory where we visited last week?
  第一个句子是简单句 ,去掉where. 第二个句子where改为which
四、误区二
辩不清有些名词在特定的语境中有表地点的功能.
Tom is looking for a new job ____ he can find satisfaction.
  A/ which   b/ where   c/ that   d/ of which
Jane is always firm（镇静） ____  she feels herself to be right. （某个地方很对）
  A/ what   b/ where   c/ how    d/ that
第一句相当于一个表地点的名词，“汤姆在找一件他能得到满足的新工作”where相当于from / in which
  can you find a situation where this word can be used？
五、误区三
where前能否使用介词。
His head soon appeared out of a window，____ he could see an elephant in the distance.     A/ from where    b/ which    c/ from that    d/  where
此题中的先行词应为out of a window ,而不是window, 从句中所表达的意思是“从窗外望去”而不是“从窗户处望去”where 代替out of window ，在从句中作介词的宾语。.

2，To our surprise, this kind of medicine doesn’t sell well ___ it is produced.
