一．简单并列句句型    [简单句+并列连词+简单句]
例句存盘：
 1. Tom was poor while his brother became rich.
 2. He lost his job, so he was unhappy these days.

 5. His mother did not scold him, but comforted him instead.

二．作文训练
阅读下面的短文，然后按要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。
One night Mr. Lee was driving home from work. He drove very slowly on the dark night. After some time, he noticed a car following him. It was traveling very fast. Suddenly it overtook his car. The driver of the car was in a hurry. He didn’t see the approaching truck. To avoid hitting it, he swerved his car. It skidded off the road and hit a big tree. The driver and his passengers were badly injured. Mr . Lee quickly stopped his car and got out of the car to help the injured men. The truck driver also stopped to lend a helping hand. Mr. Lee also telephoned the police at once. About twenty minutes later, a police car and an ambulance arrived. And then the injured were taken to hospital. The police thanked them for their help.
