1.—What class do you have next?下一节你上什么课？
—I have art next.下一节我上美术课。
1）What class do you have next?这是由“特殊疑问词what＋名词”所构成的短语引导的特殊疑问句，这个句型的基本结构为：What+名词＋一般疑问句？例如：
—What colour do you like?你喜欢什么颜色？
—I like red.我喜欢红色。
2）next是兼类词。可作形容词，意为“紧挨着的”；又可作副词，意为“接着，接下来”。例如：
The woman in the next door is a teacher. 住在隔壁的妇女是一位老师。（作形容词）
What are you going to do next?接下来你要做什么？（作副词）
3）have art相当于have art class，意为“上美术课”。
2.I have painted six new pictures this week!这周我已经画了六幅新图画了！
本句用的是现在完成时态，它表示到说话时为止，已经完成的动作，结构为：主语+ have (has)+ 过去分词。
例如：I have been to Beijing six times. 我已经去过北京六次了。
在本课中还有类似的句子：I have seen some of your paintings.我已经见过你的一些绘画。She has taught us a lot. 她已教给我们很多知识。
3.I like art too, but I’m not very good at it. 我也喜欢美术，但是我不很擅长它。
1）本句是由两个简单句并列组成，中间有连词but连接。but是并列连词，连接的转折关系的句子。例如：
I like apples, but I don’t like bananas. 我喜欢吃苹果，但不喜欢香蕉。
2）句中 be good at 意为“擅长、善于”。例如：
I am good at English.  我擅长英语。
课文下文中“be much better at”,better 是good 的比较级，意为“做得更好，更擅长…”例如：Tom is good at math and he is much better at English. 汤姆擅长数学他更擅长英语。
4.I’m not going to be a painter when I’m older!当我长大后，我将不做画家。
1）句中 “when I’m older”是本句的时间状语，表示的是将来的时间。 “be going to”是将来时态的结构。
例如：I am going to swim next Sunday. 下周日我们将要去游泳。
2）句中的“to be”表示成为……。 例如：
I want to be a teacher when I grow up. 当我长大时我想成为一名教师。
