Teachers
Step 1: Greetings (one minute)
Teacher: Say hello to
students.
Students: Say hello to
teacher.
Step 2: Teacher’s self-introduction (two minutes)
Teacher: Make an objective
self-introduction. Let students have a further knowledge of the new
teacher. At the time, it can set an example for students to
evaluate a person.
Step 3: Providing multiple tasks (three minutes)
Teacher: A:
Classify vocabulary
Identify some person—describing words which is positive or
negative.
B: person describing
Let students choose one classmate or a new teacher to describe and
write it on a paper without signing his or her name on the
paper.
Students: Choose one task they
prefer to do. Let students have a scientific standard to evaluate
others as well as themselves. Input the opinion that everything has
two sides.
Step 4: Helping students to make their own evaluation systems.
(five minutes)
Students: A:
Give the reasons for the positive vocabulary or negative
vocabulary. If a person has such kind of negative quality, students
discuss with his classmates to find out a good way to dispel
it.
B: Analyze the information on the paper and point out the good
quality as well as the bad most people have. Let students evaluate
themselves objectively.
Step 5: Table making (three minutes)
Let students work in group. They can make a table to point out what
quality a good teacher and a good student should have.
