Step I Lead-in
T: Good morning, boys and girls. We have learned some kinds of
natural disasters . Can you tell me some names? Today we will learn
more about natural disasters .It’s about an earthquake in
Taiwan.
Step II
Discussion
What was Timmy doing when the earthquake happened?
What did they do in the earthquake? Is it right?
Step II Talking
Ask one student in each group to describe what happened in the
earthquake using the answers to the above questions.
Step III Presentation
Listen to the passage again,then read the text one paragraph by
one
Paragraph 1: where was Timmy when the earthquake started?
Paragraph 2: what could people hear at that time?
Paragraph 3: Where was Timmy when everything stopped?
Paragraph 4: How did he feel?
Paragraph 5:What did Timmy think while he was waiting for
help?
