two more books = another two books 更多两本书

数字+ more = another +数字

There’s nothing else in the fridge. 冰箱里没别的什么。 (形容词修饰不定代词置其后)

Maybe we can share it. = We may share it. 也许我们能分享它。( maybe  副词，置于句首；may 情态动词，置于句中，后接动词原形)

be honest 是诚实的  an honest boy

dishonest adj. 不诚实的

keep a secret / keep secrets 保守秘密

Thank you for keeping the secret for me.感谢你为我保守秘密。

They kept their secret to themselves.他们之间保守了秘密。

make me happy 使我快乐 make sb. + adj.

make your friend special 使你的朋友特别

share my joy 分享我的快乐 = share my happiness

share sth. with sb. 与某人分享某物

have problems遇到困难solve problems解决问题

比较级和最高级：

smart – smarter – smartest   few – fewer – fewest

popular – more popular – most popular

good / well – better – best    bad/badly –worse –worst many / much – more – most   little – less – least

far – farther / further – farthest / furthest

= He is shorter than the other students in his class.

= He is shorter than any other student in his class.

= Nobody is shorter than he in his class.     

= Any other student is taller than he in his class.

Science is more important than Geography.

= Geography is not as important as Science.

= Geography is less important than Science.

Shanghai is bigger than any other city in China.

= Shanghai is the biggest city in China.

(比较：Shanghai is bigger than any city in Japan.范围外比较，不需要排除自身)

He is the taller of the two men.他是这两个人中个子高的那个。(当有of the two时, 比较级前加the)

The more, the better. 越多越好。

（the + 比较级, the +比较级表示“越…, 就越…”）

 The more trees we plant, the more beautiful our country will be.我们种的树越多，我们国家就越美。

bigger and bigger 越来越大  （比较级的叠用表示“越来越…”）

better and better 越来越好worse and worse越来越糟

more and more interesting 越来越有趣

“序数词+最高级+单数可数名词”表示 “第几…”

The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.黄河是中国第二长河。

very, so, quite等词不可用于修饰比较级，后接形容词或副词原级；much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, far可修饰比较级，表程度。

Diving is much more exciting than cycling. 潜水比骑车刺激得多。
