Hi, friends, I am glad that you join us in observing the Dragon Boat Festival, one of the grand traditional Chinese festivals.

The Dragon Boat Festival comes from the story about Qu Yuan (Chu Yuan) , a great poet and patriot in the State of Chu nearly 2300 years ago. Because of false implication, he committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River (Mi Lo River) on the 5^th of May on the Chinese lunar calendar, which made the nation extremely sad. In memory of Qu Yuan, people celebrate the day by eating zongzi (a kind of rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves ) and usually playing boat races. Now the activities are increasing the love of our motherland.
