基数词的表示方法

◆必须要牢记的基数词

以下是最基本的基数词，学习者必须牢记：

◆21—99的表示方法

先说“几十”，再说“几”，中间加连字号：

◆101—999的表示方法

先说“几百”，后接and，再加末尾两位数(或末位数)：

two hundred and six 206                  four hundred and sixty 460

six hundred and eighty-three 683      nine hundred and ninety-nine 999

◆1000以上数字的表示方法

先从右至左数，每三位数加一个逗号(即以此把数目分为若干段)。第一个逗号前的数为thousand(千)，第二个逗号前的数million(百万)，然后一段一段地数：

6, 863 six thousand, eight hundred and sixty-three

45, 256 forty-five thousand, two hundred and fifty-six

365, 261 three hundred and sixty-five thousand, two hundred and sixty-one

50, 331, 250 fifty million, three hundred and thirty-one thousand, two hundred and fifty

【几点注意】

① 英语没有“万”这个单位，要表示“万”须借用thousand，如“一万”用“十千”表示(ten thousand)，“十万”用“百千”表示(one hundred thousand)。(from www.zkenglish.com)

② hundred, thousand, million等词在读数时不带复数词尾-s(即用单数形式)：

正：three hundred and thirty-five (335) / two thousand and forty-one (2041)

误：three hundreds and thirty-five (335) / two thousands and forty-one (2041)

但是，若不是用于读数，而是用于泛指许多，则用复数：

Thousands of people went there. 数千人去了那儿。

Millions of workers lost their work. 数百万人失业。

③ 在hundred 后通常加上连词，不过此and 在美国英语中可以省略。若读数中没有 hundred，则在thousand后加and。
