Step 1
1. (以男、女两组竞赛的方式复习含有情态动词的被动语态,由教师说出一个动词,同学们用这个动词造句,而且是含有情态动词的被动语态的句子。看哪组说得又快又准确。)
T: OK. Let’s have a competition between boys and girls. I say a verb, you make a sentence with this verb. You must use modal verb+be+past participle. Do you understand?
Ss: Yes.
T: For example. I say“water”. You should say like this“The flowers must be watered every day. ”OK, Let’s begin. Protect.
Girls: Our environment should be protected well.
T: Clean.
Boys: The blackboard must be cleaned after class.
T: Look after well.
Girls: The young trees should be looked after well.
T: Speak.
Girls: English should be spoken in our English class.
T: Plant.
Boys: More and more trees should be planted.
T: Invent.
Girls: Many useful things will be invented in the future.

2. (提问关于太空和人类对太空的研究的一些问题。复习,加深对情态动词,被动语态的结构、变化及用法的认识,导入一部分生词。)
T: What movie did Michael and Jane see yesterday?
S1: They saw a movie about the life in space.
T: Does Michael believe there are aliens?
S2: No, he doesn’t believe it.
T: And you? Do you believe there are aliens?
S3: No, I don’t believe it. Because they cannot be seen.
(很有可能出现不同意见,那样更有利于进一步的复习提问。)
T: Do you believe there are aliens?
S4: Yes, I do.
T: What can be done to find them out if there are aliens in the space?
S5: Satellites and spaceships should be sent up.

S7: More scientific research should be done carefully.

T: Now read the dialog between Kangkang and Maria. Then practice in pairs and act it out.

T: In dialog 1a, Kangkang wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. He wants to do some research in space. So he dreams about his uncle’s trip to Mars. Let’s listen to the tape, then answer the following questions:

(2) How long did it take them to get there?
(3) Did everything go well during the journey?
(学生听完后,逐个提问,并核对答案。)
(1) This e-mail is from Kangkang’s uncle, Stephen.

2. (学生阅读3a 三分钟。完成3b。提高阅读技能。)
T: Boys and girls, let’s read 3a for three minutes and Mark(T)for True or(F)for False in 3b.
