外研版 必修2 模块1 语言点

Teaching Aims: Learn some useful words and expressions.

Teaching Important Points.

Learn and master some important words and phrases in this period.

Teaching Difficult points : as的用法, head 用作动词的用法,would rather 接从句的动词的形式。with 的复合结构。

Teaching Procedures

Step 1

Revision  The teacher may ask some students to translate some important    sentences from the text.

Step 2.

1.When Zhou Kai’s mother saw him heading towards the front door without a jacket on, she eyed him anxiously.

head v. 朝…方向前进

1).The ship is heading (to the ) north for Tianjin.

2).When I saw him in the street, he was heading home.

3). After work, he headed straight for the bookshop.

head for朝……走去

4).The thief headed across the river and escaped.

eye 名词活用作动词, “注视”

The young boy was eyeing a toy in the window. 

那少年盯着橱窗内的玩具

look sb in the eye  正面盯着看某人

keep an/one's eye on 

密切注意…… 留神,看守,看管

have an eye for vt. 对……有鉴赏目光

in the eyes of sb 从某人的眼光  来看

anxiously        anxious              anxiety

adv.  焦急地    adj.不安的,渴望的     n.焦虑, 不安

1). be anxious about /for…  为…担忧

2). be anxious to do sth.渴望/急于做某事

3). feel anxiety about …为…担忧

Mother is anxious about /for your safety.

妈妈很担心你的安全。

===Mother felt anxiety about your safety.

He is anxious to go to the station to meet his friend .

他急于想去车站接他的朋友。

He is waiting for us with anxiety / anxiously.

他正焦急地等着我们。

without a jacket on 没有穿夹克on 是副词 意为“ 穿着,戴着”

He got up so late that he went to

school in a hurry without his glasses on .

由于起床晚了,他没戴眼镜就匆匆忙忙地上学了。

She appeared at the evening party with a flower on.

他戴着一朵花出现在晚会上。

拓展:

with+(宾语+名词形容词,不定式,现在分词,介词短语,过去分词)

He sat near the fire with his back to the door.

他坐在炉子旁,背朝着房门。

He used to sleep with all the windows open.

他过去常常开着窗子睡觉。

.It’s impolite for one to talk __A____.

A.with his mouth full    B. without his mouth full.

            C. with his full mouth.   D. when his mouth full

2. Look for the sentences including “as” 

1).…said Zhou Kai, as he opened the door.

2). Zhou Kai went and did as he was told .

3). So as you can see from what I’ve said …

4)… and as I’ve said, this isn’t a problem because my mother

1).…said Zhou Kai, as he opened the door.

当…时候, 引导时间状语从句。

2).Zhou Kai went and did as he was told .

3).So as you can see from what I’ve said

4)… and as I’ve said, this isn’t  a problem because my mother.

按照…(方式),引导方式状语从句。

5). Child as he is, he can carry the heavy box.

尽管,引导让步状语从句,句子倒装。

6). As you were out, I left a message.

由于,引导原因壮语从句。

as 用法小练

完成下列句子:

1) As she sang.(她唱歌的时候), the tears ran down her cheeks.

2).  As all the seats are full (由于所有的座位都满了), he had to stand up.

3). You should do  as the teacher tells you to . (按照老师所说的).

4). Young as he is(尽管他很年轻), he knows a lot.

5). Grammar is not a set of dead rules, _ as has been said above(正如以上所说的).

3. My mother has always make sure we eat very healthy.

我妈妈总是想方设法让我们吃健康食物。

make sure 一定要, 确保 弄清楚

4.. I don’t have a sweet tooth.

I don’t like to eat sweet food.

5.  I’d rather eat a nice piece of fruit.

我宁愿吃一片水果.

He would rather stay at home than go to the movie with his girlfriend.

他宁愿呆在家里, 也不愿和女友去看电影。

Sum up the usage of would rather.

1)would rather (not) do sth宁愿(不)做某事

would rather do sth than do sth  (=would do sth rather than do sth)  =(would) prefer to do sth rather than do sth

would rather sb did sth  宁愿某人做某事 (用一般过去时表示现在和将来)

would rather sb. had done sth宁愿某人做过某事(过去完成时表示过去的情况)

我宁愿你明天来.

I’d rather you came tomorrow.

我宁愿你昨天没有做那件事.

I’d rather you hadn’t done it yesterday.

我宁可呆在家里,不想外出.

I’d rather stay at home than go out.

你介意我抽烟吗?   嗯,  最好别抽.

-- Do you mind if I smoke?   –-Well, I’d rather you didn’t.

你愿意步行还是坐公共汽车?

Would you rather walk or take a  bus?

6. But that’s because I was stupid  enough to play football in the rain.

enough 常置于形容词和副词后作状语, 后接不定式。 表示够……,达到了做某件事情的地步。

我可真够糊涂的,竟然相信他的话。

I was stupid enough to believe him.

她已经到了自己作决定的时候了。

She is old enough to decide for herself.

6. Two years ago, I broke my arm playing football. playing football现在分词短语作伴随状语 相当于: When /while I was playing football.

7. I’m crazy about football.

crazy adj.疯狂的, 古怪的; 狂热的,着迷的

be crazy for sth. 渴望某物

be crazy about sth.  迷恋某物,沉迷于…中

be crazy for sb. 迷恋某人

go crazy发疯

1).He is crazy about painting these days. He stays in her studio all day long.

2).Little girls and boys have grown  crazy about rock music.

3). She went crazy with fear.
