1.Work for 为 而工作

We should work for peace.

2.We sort then so that they can be recycled.

sort 名词,相当于kind ,种类

动词,整理,归类,分拣

3.It is/was +adj.+of/for sb. To do sth.

当形容词用来描述人的性格,特征,品质时,通常用of,good, kind, nice, wise, clever, foolish, right, wrong, careful等.

Its very nice of you to help me.

当形容词用来描述事物的性质,特征时,通常选用for. Easy, difficult, hard, important, necessary, possible, interesting等.

如:It’s very important for everyone to protect the environment.

4.Everyone is supposed to do that.

be supposed to 意思是， 应该, 理应,与同义.

Teachers are supposed to know a lot.

be supposed to用于否定句,意思为允许.

You are not supposed to smoke here.

这里不允许吸烟.
