1)respectful：尊重人的;有礼貌的;恭敬的 If you are respectful, you show

2)respectable:体面的;可敬的;正派的
He came from a perfectly respectable middle-class

summary:
respectful 指的是你对其他人尊敬；
be repectful to sb/our elders;
be respectful of sth:He was always respectful of my
independence.（尊重我的独立）
respectable：指的是某人值得尊敬;体面的 可观的
Do I look respectable enough in these clothes?

另外：
3）\"respected guests\" - 尊敬的来宾。
从英语构词来看，过去分词做形容词是含有被动的意思。 respected
是“被尊敬”的意思。
distinguished guests/honored guests/valued customers
都是以“ed”结尾。
