        Backpacking through Africa, I always carried some food with me   16   I couldn’t find something to eat.

完形填空试题挖空设计合理,除第1620小题外,其余均为对实词的考查,能较好地考查学生对文章内容以及上下文关系的理解。

以下是几个易错题的解释:

17Look through 浏览,此处理解为“逛市场”。

20Treat 招待、款待,此处理解为“……想犒劳一下自己的时候”。

21Remove 拿掉,此处理解为“把瓶盖取下”。Uncoverto remove a covering from 取下覆盖物之义,不能用the lid 作宾语。

23Pack 背包,与文章第一句backpacking 呼应。Pocket 是指衣服上的口袋,此处显然不妥。

26.注意本文的大环境:地理位置在非洲,天下着雨。所以不应该是warm clothes

28.联系上文中it sat safely in my pack,理解应该是裹在衣服里。Hidden 藏的目的是不让别人发现,这种理解没有上下文的支持。

29Precious 珍贵,不一定值钱,但一定是作者特别喜欢的。Valuable 有价值的,指“值钱”或“有用”。

30Approaching 接近、靠近。老太太不会一下子从什么地方冒出来,也不可能跑着过来,因此appearingrunning 都应该排除。

31All right 还可以、还行、还好,是指摔在地上的瓶子,比较大的哪一块儿。

33Remaining 剩下的。Rest 当“剩余”讲时,不作定语。可以说成the rest of the …
