Active Involvement

We partner closely with our entrepreneurs and are active, hands-on investors. We match each portfolio company with a senior level partner who is dedicated to the company/industry and engaged in day-to-day management activities. In addition, we usually take a board seat and lead the round in which we invest.

Crossover Investing

Unlike most venture capital firms, our involvement doesn’t stop at the IPO. Through our public market investment activities, Crosslink backs portfolio companies not only at the IPO, but well into their public market life. We continue to work closely with management to expand market leadership and build long-term success.

Deep Network

Crosslink’s professional network is a powerful ally for our portfolio companies. It includes our Technical Advisory Committee, comprised of Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Officers and others in charge of technology direction at a number of Fortune 500 companies including APL, Charles Schwab, Fireman’s Fund Insurance, MetLife, Peoplesoft, Sprint PCS and Wells Fargo. It also includes CEOs and senior executives at public technology companies, technology entrepreneurs and a long list of service professionals from lawyers to public relations professionals and recruiters.

These advisors and consultants to Crosslink are investors in our funds, and are individuals whose companies we have backed in the past. All have a vested interest in helping our portfolio companies. Their contributions are essential to Crosslink’s ability to add real and lasting value to our portfolio companies.

Stage Independent

While most of our venture investments are early stage, we invest in companies at every stage - from seed to pre-IPO to PIPES offerings. Our Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) program affords a select group of entrepreneurs the resources they need to focus on promising new opportunities - often serving as the beginnings of Crosslink’s seed investments. The size of our investments vary, but usually ranges from $8 to $20 million per company over multiple rounds.
