We've settled down in Kingston, Canada!
I can't type in Chinese characters by my work computer yet. So I decide to show you some emails between
Nana(Doudou) and her American pen paw Emmy. Still remember that
Chinese girl adopted by an American couple?
Dear Nana,
I am so sorry that I haven't emailed you in a while. It was so nice to meet you while I was in China. Thank you for the fish you made for me. I named her Bubbles. She is so cute.
Welcome to this continent! How long was your plane ride? Did you watch a lot of movies? Maybe you will get to try bacon while you are in Canada.
I went on a camping trip with the entire 5th grade from my school. It was for three days. No parents were allowed. We camped in the woods in cabins. It was a team work test.
Tomorrow I will go to Mandarin lessons in New Jersey. After class, two of my friends that went to China with me will come over for a pizza party. We will hang out in my room and play outside.

Dear Emmy,
I'm glad that I can see you again!And thanks for your
gifts,they are very nice.
Our plane ride was 13hours.It's the longest time I ever
riden!But there are lots of movies and cartoons in the plane TV.I
watched"Kung Fu Panda 1"And"Roma Holiday"...
I am going to go to school on Monday I'm a little bit nervous
:how does the school like?Is the school fun?

School is fun, you go on different field trips. Make so many new friends.Also you have so many cool classes.
I miss you so so much and I got a new hobby ...... Archery. I got some lessons over the
summer.
By the way, bacon is thin ham I like mine crispy
or with power sugar. have you herd of Taylor Swift ? She is my
favorite musician listen to "speak now" and "Red"

You like archery?I'd never do that before,it must be very
cool!And I had a new hobby too,it's cross-stitch.My Mom and Dad
said I am very strange.Because I never do those gentlewomanly
things before.I don't know why I like to do either!

I would like to get a bow and arrow for Christmas. I don't do gentle womanly things
either.

pack your lunch or buy it? Sometimes our school
lunch ladies make terrible lunches. I hope you

Dear Emmy,
The school in Canada is totally different from China.We have
no homework.And I have a lot of friends.We plaid many games.And
when we had lunch,I'm not hungry at all.So I only ate some
strawberries my Mom took.
I don't know we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving or not.But
I think it's going to be fun!
