Here is a look back of 2015:

First, E&J Gallo Winery of California introduced us to Master of Wine Nicholas Paris who showed me some great California wines as well as how to pair with Chinese food in Shanghai.

Next, we had some more California wines with wine maker Mike Loberg and owner of AmourVino Winery - Nee Lau and paired it with classic French food at French restaurant Coquille.

After that, it was a day in Xujiahui Park with the ever charming ElsaThao-Thion (brand representative) who brought the French wines of J.P.Chenet to me and we tried over some classic French desserts.

Then we were off to Beijing to meet wine expert Christopher Martinez and to sample some Albarino wines from Mar De Frades with tapas at the popular Spanish restaurant Migas in Sanlitun.

Next it was back to Shanghai and Coquille restaurant to meet NBA superstar Dywane Wade to taste his brand new wine Wade (a special brand just for his fans in China) with some help from wine maker Jason Pahlmeyer and Nee Lau of AmourVino.

It was time for Australian wine and Chinese food towards the end of the year, at 3 different restaurants in Shanghai, Mr. Matthew Bahen, General Manager Sales, Great China of De Bortoli Wines brought a wide range of Deen series of DB wines, we paired them with Cantonese Dim Sum, Peking duck and Sichuan Hot Pot.

Then, it was an all celebrity wine show featuring WIT series wine expert Sophie Liu and wine from Vicente Gandia at El Patio, one of the top Spanish restaurants in China. The VG wines featured art work from George Clooney, Daniel Craig and other stars to raise money for the What Ever It Takes charity.

We finished off the year with some more Spanish wine and tapas at the popular El Willy restaurant on the bund with wine expert Jorg Philipp and Liria wine also from Vicente Gandia.
