很多初学投资理财的朋友多半是年轻人，也有很多朋友想提高英文，我为符合以上两种条件的朋友总结一些我常用的理财英语词汇。因为我相信学习英语这们工具的最好办法就是去使用它，用得越多越就越熟练。至少我就是这样提高的英语的。

理财：Wealth Management or financial planning

理财规划：financial planning

理财公司：financial planning firm

独立第三方理财顾问公司：Independent Financial Advisor

外汇投资：foreign currency investment

股票投资：equity investment or stock investment

投资组合：portfolio management

风险和回报：risk & return

基金：managed fund (英国）mutural fund (美国）

光记住词汇好不够，要学会运用在句子当中。所以，我现在用英语写一段这几天我对理财市场的一些看法，用到这些词汇供参考。

Recently, I was approached by a number of amatour investors seeking for my advices on how to set up a financial planning company.  Based on my previous oversees experiences, my advices are to hold this idea and await for the right moment.  Then, the question comes, when will the investment opportuntiy arrive? 

At least five years.  Why?

First of all, the market is not ready yet.  People in general, lacks of the basic knowledge on the concept of risk and return and portfolio manaement.  Most Chinese investor perceive the wealth management business as an investment. 

Secondly, a financial planner is different from an investor.  People normally is confused with the works of a stock investment advisor and a financial planner.

Finally, the factor, which I reckon the most important one, is that the market has not been under a clear rule from the authority. 

A financial planner is someone who bases on a client's life goals, prioritizes them, calculates the future cash flows, assess a client's level of risk tolorance and finally makes an appropriate asset allocation strategy. A fiancial planner's next step will help a client to select an investment product, such as, a managed fund or a market-linked deposit, for his client.  

Hopefully, this article will creat an excitement among our friend who are keen on develop market careers on the financial planning.
