每年的11月是五大连池雾凇的世界，这个时期虽然是冬季，气温不是很低，白天石龙、石海里的石头吸收着“日光浴”的热能，晚上温度下降，冬季不冻日夜奔流的“温泊”等水系释放的潮湿水汽便形成了五大连池特所特有的雾凇。
