The island of Manhattan is a cozy village populated by more than seven million fascinating individuals, who all behave like they own the sidewalk. Be gonna = be going to

Miranda: Ditching us now would be bad form.

Ditch = dump, 扔下不管，或是抛弃（某人） Mandy ditched her boyfriend. (Mandy 把她的男朋友给甩了)

Carrie: I'm not gonna ditch you.

Carrie: Surprise.

Big: Hey, Carrie! How are you?

Carrie: Good, good. I was just here with my posse having dinner, and I saw you.

Posse: 一帮朋友（俚语）

Big: Oh, Carrie, this is Julia Woods. Julia, Carrie Bradshaw.

Friends: Let’s go.

Carrie: Nice to meet you. Can I talk to you for a second?

Big: Sure.

Carrie: Excuse me.

Carrie:Are you On a date?

Big: Sort of.

Sort of = kind of

Carrie: I thought you said you had a business thing tonight.

Big: I said a dinner thing.

Carrie: Well, she's stunning. And I should know because frankly, she stunned me. Well, Enjoy your dinner.

Stunning: extremely attractive = gorgeous,

Big: Are you okay?

Carrie: Oh, sure. I was just, you know, I didn't realize you were dating other women.

Big: Not a lot of other women. Why don't we talk about this Saturday?

Carrie: Sure, sure, sure. So then enjoy your dinner. Oh, I already said that. Well, enjoy it twice.

Friends: Here we go.

Carrie: I can't believe it. He's seeing other women!

Be seeing sb = to have a romantic relationship with sb. 与（某人）频繁约会

--Are you seeing anyone at the moment?
--Yeah, sort of , but no one special.

Prick=dick (男孩子的小弟弟)，形容人的时候表示asshole, 大混蛋，无赖，极其令人反感、讨厌的人
