Harvard Expands Access to Research

In a move to disseminate faculty research and scholarship more broadly, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences voted to give the University a worldwide license to make each faculty member's scholarly articles available and to exercise the copyright in the articles, provided that the articles are not sold for a profit.

SEAS Dean to Step Down

Venkatesh Narayanamurti, dean of the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, who for 10 years has directed the renewal and expansion of the former division and its transition to a School, has announced his intention to step down from his position in September 2008.

Women's Hockey Tops Boston University to Win Beanpot Title
Sarah Wilson scored a goal and added an assist and Anna McDonald collected two assists to lead No. 1 Harvard to its 12th Women's Beanpot championship with a 3-1 victory over Boston University Tuesday evening at Walter Brown Arena.

Harvard Glee Club 150th Anniversary

HGC will give its Sesquicentennial Concert in Sanders Theatre on April 11. Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms will open the concert. Men's choral music will constitute the balance of the program, the feature being the premiere of Dominick Argento's Apollo in Cambridge , commissioned for the occasion by the Harvard Glee Club Foundation (an HAA Shared Interest Group). Dirty Work: Transforming Landscape in the Non-Formal City of the Americas
Through March 16
Curated by John Beardsley and Christian Werthmann, this exhibition sponsored by the Department of Landscape Architecture will focus on shantytown settlements in Central and South America that present opportunities for arresting some of the social erosion and environmental stress characteristic of such communities and for better integrating them with the rest of the city.
