希望这件事能够给中国大众一个积极的讯息：这场争论与个人恩怨无关，而是关于如何使中国大学体制更加开放，朝着正确的方向发展。一个良好的大学体制不仅使教师受益，她更会使一代又一代学生成为最大的受益者。

Hope this event will send out a positive message to the general public: the issue under debate is not personal, but about how to make the Chinese university system more open and be able to move into the right direction. A better university system will benefit the faculty, but students of generation after generation will be the chief beneficiary!
