    金石园位于徐州滨湖公园西园东部、八一大堤北侧，一期工程设置50余块大型金石篆刻作品，选择历代名印、一些名人赞美徐州的语言，所选石料都是花岗岩石。金石园中，正在装设一块长12米、高2米的巨石，其上篆刻着“彭城金石园”5个大字，并刻有100枚名人、帝王印章。据施工方介绍，这块巨石是金石园的标志，将在周围铺设一圈玻璃印章。
　　和金石篆刻作品不同，园内还装设了一块玻璃印章作品和一块铜印章作品，二者成为园区一大亮点。玻璃印章作品高约2米、宽1米，中间镂空，其上有两块石质印章突出。铜印章呈多棱形，共12个立面，每个立面上均有一枚印章。“金石园的建设，以系列篆刻作品为公园增添了文化韵味。”

从徐州音乐厅沿云龙湖大堤西行约二、三百米，就进入了一个开放式的河堤园林——彭城金石园。

金石篆刻是中国传统文化中一个重要的组成部分。一幅字画完成以后，盖上一、二枚鲜红的印章，常常能起到画龙点睛的作用，所以金石篆刻已经渐渐演变成一个单独的艺术门类，一直倍受众多爱好者的青睐与追捧。特别是北京奥运会的中国印，更是把中国的篆刻艺术推向了世界，可谓登峰造极，令每一个国人都由衷地感到了骄傲与自豪！

彭城金石园内设置了数十块大型花岗岩金石篆刻作品，零零散散地矗立在花木丛中。从其表现的内容来看，多为历代名印、官印以及古今大家赞美徐州风景胜地的佳句名言。特别是正中一块长12米、高2米的巨石，其上镌刻着“彭城金石园”五个大字，并刻有100枚名人、帝王印章，其独特、醒目的造型已经使它成为了这里的主要标志。尤其值得一提的是，碑刻巨石的底部有一圈玻璃橱窗，里面展示着对应位置篆刻印章的译文可供游人对照，这对于人们进一步了解和欣赏篆刻艺术还是有很大帮助的。

彭城金石园以其系列篆刻作品为云龙湖增添了浓烈的文化韵味，也为徐州这座历史文化名城书写了新的篇章。有幸游览彭城金石园，也是我这次徐州之行的另一个收获与惊喜！
