Dear Eric,

How are you? Haven’t seen you for ages. I miss you very much.

I left school early yesterday because the snowstorm started again in the afternoon and it got worse later.

This morning I read a newspaper article about a car accident. A man named Bill Smith called 110 at 7:40 p.m. using his mobile phone. His car crashed into a tree while he was driving in the snowstorm. He and his wife were caught in the car. The snow was heavy and it covered everything. The police arrived at once and took them to hospital. Luckily, they were not hurt.

Dear Jenny,

How’s it going? When I got to Beijing three months ago, I felt lonely. I had no friends and was not used to the food there. What’s more, I was not good at Chinese. When I was sad, my Chinese teacher helped me. He not only helped me with my poor Chinese, but also taught me how to smile at life. On weekends, my classmates and I often go to some villages to help some poor students. We send some books to them and play with them. Now, I live happily. As my teacher says,“Happiness is in your heart forever, but you need to find and feed it.”
