Bamboo; it is gifted with characters of inflexibility and modesty.

Plum: they are appreciated for their nobleness, purity and modesty with encourage people to improve themselves.

(3)Lao Laizi , the hermit of Chu State in the Spring and Autumn period , cultivated in  the Meng Mount by himself to elude Social affairs. He was filial to his parents and always selected the delicacy for them. He kept a young heart in his 70 years old wearing colorful clothes and holding a rattle-drum, he often played like a child to amuse his parents. Once, he tumbled when he sent water for his parents. And he was afraid that his parents was worried about him, then he lied on the floor crying like a kid which made his parents laugh at last .

2. (1). Realism refers to a style in art or literature that shows things people as they are in real life.

Du Fu is the noted poet of it .His life was full of frustrations, which enable him to have a clear idea of people’s sufferings. So in his poems, he boldly exposed the corruption of the feudal society and profoundly portrayed people’s miserable lives.

(2). Romantic refers to a style in art or literature, which use imaginations to describe things and people than they are really are.

Its noted poet is Li Bai. With lofty sentiments and a powerful imagination, he created many poems in praise of magnificent mountains and mighty rivers of the motherland. The most famous are Invitation to Wine, the Sichuan Road.

(3). The Tang poetry combined realism and romanticism. It reflects the history of Tang Dynasty from different profiles. The Tang poetry is a peak in Chinese ancient culture and do a great contribution to the world’s culture.
