What is an educated man?

It is very often seen that two people fought on the street just as a result of a dispute over a parking place, and one was shouting to the other one: Come on, you are an educated man?” What is an educated man?

Firstly, an educated man is someone who possesses good manners in any situation, as those are essential qualities for the educated man, as people could create a harmonious atmosphere both for their every day life and work environment.  Good manners mean proper behavior, whether someone is in public situation or is alone. Other qualities for good manners include: not speaking loudly , not smoking in public, not spitting on the ground , and dressing properly for formal and other occasions.  An educated man, who is well mannered, must be polite to ladies and towards their elders, be caring towards kids, and keeps an open mind towards other and their concerns.  Actually, there would be an endless list for good manners for an educated man. However, all these good manners are not for building a so called gentleman, but rather for creating a pleasant surrounding where one lives and the environment one works in. Obviously, an educated man should know that the value of a harmony in his life, and for the lives of others.

Secondly, the most distinctive characteristic of an educated and well mannered man possesses a brave heart in order to face any problem or challenge, and an intelligent mind to be able to solve the problem as it arises.  As a result, these two characters contribute to the growth and the making of a real educated man. On the one hand, an educated man never escapes a problem which already existed in his life. His past education has successfully taught him how to be a real man with great courage and how to hold his resolve when he is confronted with difficulties. On the other hand, an educated man should never be a bold person without any reasonable solution. On the contrary, he should make a very quick decision based on the evaluation of the risk he may be facing, and take concrete steps with his acquired knowledge and experience to confront such risks. An educated man could develop himself to be a better person with his courage and intellect.

Last, but not least, the most important quality of an educated man is the ability to keep growing by further educating himself. As the world changes rapidly around him, an educated man has to adapt himself to the ever changing surrounding and circumstances, and teach himself how to better connect with the whole new world without falling behind.

As a conclusion, good manners, a brave heart, and intelligent mind, and the ability to keep learning are the most important characteristics of an educated man, mostly because these four key qualities not only build an educated man personality, strength and integrity, but also help ensure that an educated man can survive in any situation.
