英语阅读课教学设计

My New Friend 

 

 

、教材分析和学情分析

本课时是PEP六年级上Unit4 My New Friend Part B Let’s Read。这篇文章主要介绍了一位新朋友及其家人,通过学习,学生应该学会如何向他人介绍一位新朋友。同学们都会有自己的好朋友,这个话题学生有话可说,但在用英语表述时可能会出现语法上的错误。

二、教学思路

实行课堂教学任务化,任务生活化,以学生为主体,以话题为主线,以任务为中心。

三、教学目标

1.知识和能力目标:

1)词汇:

能根据图片猜测Australia \teacher \nurse的意思,并学会读写

2)通过学习,会用He/She is a …, He/She works in a …, He/She goes to work by …He/She likes….描述身边的亲朋好友

2.学习策略目标

1)学会根据图片猜测大意

2)学会通过快速浏览抓住文章大意,通过圈、划等方式查找细节的阅读技巧

3.情感态度与价值观目标

懂得广交朋友、乐于交际

四、教学重点

掌握文章中的词汇和理解课文内容,学会用第三人称单数介绍向别人介绍自己的朋友或家人

五、教学难点

理解、认读句子:Alice and Ann are twins. They look the same, but they are very different.以及用第三人称单数介绍向别人介绍自己的朋友或家人

六、教学准备

1.      教师:PPT, 课文录音

2.      学生:课前词汇预习

七、教学过程:

Step 1: Warming -up

1. Sing a song  The more we get together

2. Free talk

Do you have a friend? What’s his /her name? What does he like or like to do?

Step 2: Pre-reading

1. Teacher says: Boys and girls, I have a new friend .Do you want to know who she is? OK, let me show you.

(Teacher shows on the screen. Tell students she is Alice. She lives in Australia.)

2. Teacher shows pictures of her father, mother one by one. (Have students guess who they are and what they do, get to know the meanings of teacher  and nurse)

3.      Teacher shows picture of her twin

(Do they look the same? Yes, they are twins. Point to two students (look differently) in the class and ask: Are they twins?)

Step 3: while-reading

Teacher says: Do you want to know more about my friends? What do you want to know? (hobbies?)Now, let’s read.

1. generally reading(read and circle)

Students read it quickly and circle her family members.

( check the answers and write the members on the board)

2. detailed reading(read and underline)

1)Read paragraph2 and paragraph3, and find the differences between father and mother.

2)Read paragraphs from5 to7, find the differences between the twins and fill in the chart.

3)Listen to the text and repeat. Who do you like the best and why?

4)Read aloud.

Step 4post-reading

1. Recall

Now class, let’s recall something about Alice and her family. First recall them together, then choose students to recall one of them.

2. Ask students to describe one of the friends in the class, and the other students guess who he or she is.(Teacher may give hints on a sheet of paper in the way of the text :________is my good friend. He/She lives in________. He /She likes ______.He/She goes to school by/on_______. His/ Her mom is a_______. She works in a _______. She goes to work by _______. His/ Her dad is a ___. He works in a ______ .He goes to work by _______. They are all very kind.)

Step5: Homework

Write an e-mail or a letter to your pen pal about one of your dear friends, get them to be friends too.

Alice lives in Australia,goes to school by bike, reads newspapers,plays at the park

Her sister   goes to school on foot ,watches cartoons on TV,makes kites

Her father   teacher    works in a school   goes to work by bus
