《Tiger: The Ultimate Guide》by Valmik

“In 1999 there were at least six instances of tigress and sloth bear interactions and in all these cases the sloth bear chased away the tigress after they had both reared up their hind legs as if to box each other. These are unique encounters in the natural world.
In on incident the tigress charged the sloth bear, but in another the sloth bear was feeding at a tendu tree and the tigress was stalking the bear. The bear turned and charged the tigress and then there was a sort of a hide and seek situation until the bear left. It was thought that the tigress was trying to lure the bear away from her kill so her cubs could feed。

In another incident the two cubs come across the bear. The cubs are bigger cubs. One of the cubs stalks the bear as it laps up water and then starts eating fruit. The tiger cub continues to stalk, but the high grass prevents him from charging the bear. The bear then turns around after a half an hour and charged the young tiger and then they start to stand on their hind legs and box, but the bear gets the better of the tiger and the tiger retreats. This repeats itself three times before the young tiger leaves the area. The tiger抯 brother simply sat
