本次世界沙排巡回赛共吸引了来自30个国家的244名男女运动员参赛，其中，男子67支队伍，女子55支队伍。比赛将延续至4月23日， 每场比赛免费为市民游客开放。

今年国际排联对沙滩排球各项赛事规则进行了改革创新，将新赛制改为单败淘汰赛，这使得每场比赛不容球员有半点失误，一旦落败一场就要打道回府，每场比赛将更具刺激性与观赏性。
