看完电影几乎没写过影评，看的电影太多了，个人觉得写些东西很耗时间精力，还是觉得写一些剧本台词分析更实用些。《Slumdog Millionaire》这个电影对于想熟悉印度式发音的同学来说是很好的听力教材。先摘抄一段小小解析。

Jamal:it's a fortune.i'd like to phone a friend.

Host: you've going to the wire.the final lifeline.here we go.it's ringing!who is it ?

J:that's my brother's number,but.....

H: the kind of brother,who go for a walk on a 20 million rupee question ?

J:it's the only number i know.

H: you are on your own.Jamal

Latika: hello? hello,Jamal?

H:i'm guessing that isn't your brother,this is...

L: my name is Latika

H: okay,Latika,you want to hear the question one more time? and let's be clear about this,twenty million rupees ride on your answer,you have 30 seconds.Jamal,please read out the question to Latika now.

解析：

1）fortune 命运 机会 (相当于shot，chance)

   give me a shot=give me a chance 给个机会

2）go to the wire

   wire本身的意思是“金属线”这里go to the wire指“最后一次机会”。这个词组go to the wire原意是“某件事将近结束” eg:this year's presidential race will go dowm to the wire and we won't know until the very end.

3)lifeline 生命线

4）go for a walk on 片中求助电话一直没人接，意思是“在弟弟为了2万卢比求助自己都置若罔闻的那个哥哥吗？”go for a walk 这里是“袖手旁观”的意思。通常go for a walk是散步。eg:let's go for a walk on the deck first

5)rupee 卢比（印度的钱币名）

6）be clear about 清楚...

  eg:just let me be clear about one thing

  eg:i'm not clear about it

  eg:i don't know beans about it 我对它一无所知（beans about）

  eg:i'm allergic to it 我对它很敏感,我很讨厌它(allergic to)

7)ride on 依靠

  ride on=rely on=depend on=count on 依靠 信赖 指望

  you can rely on me

  you can depend on me

  you can count on me

8）slumdog

  slum贫民窟 dog这里指人，理解为什么lucky dog的意思就明白了。

  在英语文化中，尤其是动物的词汇几乎都可以表示人：

  fox 美女

  chick 女生

  old hen 中年妇女

  hen-pecked 怕老婆的（表面意思是“被母鸡啄了的”）

  hen party 只有女人参加的聚会

  stag party 只有男人参加的机会（stag雄鹿，雄性动物）

  you are such a dog 你简直就是一个无赖

  it's raining outside cats and dogs 外边鱼下的特别大（cats and dogs 形容雨下的很大）

  as blind as a bat 有眼无珠 (象蝙蝠一样瞎)

  as busy as a bee 很忙（象蜜蜂一样忙）

  as mild as a dove 非常温和（象鸽子一样温和）

  as mad as a wet hen 非常生气 （象弄湿的母鸡一样生气）

  as poor as a church mouse 贫穷的 （象教堂里的老鼠一样贫穷）

  as proud as a peacock 很骄傲 （象孔雀一样骄傲）
