《水浒无间道》留下来的后遗症……张智霖的《人在江湖》，基本上不是传统意义上的香港黑道片。虽然也是讲杀手、黑道老大那些事情。但是拍得很文艺、血腥。镜头有些像没有排过序的混乱。故事灰色，台词简单。感觉轮回是注定的！当然也有腐的东西……只是不在上篇（香港篇），而是在下篇（台湾篇）

十七岁的阿七就开始了他的第一次杀人。一连软了对方十几刀才肯罢手。这就是阿七！专门解决黑道仇杀的杀手。表面看上去没有任何感情……由张智霖扮演，还算没有选错人。不笑、不露出酒窝的话，他还是蛮酷的。故事分上下二部分，上半部分杀人，在香港。下半部分逃亡，在台湾。
