湖北省神农架是世界地质公园，国家AAAAA级旅游景区，中国最美十大森林公园之一，横亘于长江、汉水之间。相传因上古的神农氏在此搭架上山采药而得名，景区山峰均在海拔3000米以上，堪称“华中屋脊”。

神农架主要景点有神农顶、风景垭、板壁岩、瞭望塔、小龙潭、大龙潭、金猴岭等，山高谷深，林木茂密，气候复杂多变，四季景色迷人。独特的自然环境、人文历史，造就了极其丰富、珍贵的自然和人文景观。

神农架金猴岭瀑布海拔3019米，因有国家一级保护动物金丝猴栖息于此而得名。瀑布于万丈悬崖之上，穿越密林深涧，飞泻而下。抛珠溅玉，落地有声。

阴峪河大峡谷是神农架保护区核心地带，谷长50多公里，谷底最深海拔600米，而高峰接近3000米，地貌险峻，植被至今保持着原始洪荒状态，区域性气候明显，从高山到谷底呈现完全不同的季节景象。

在神农架大龙潭金丝猴研究保护基地，游人可以看到活波好动、俊美漂亮的金丝猴。这些金丝猴，是分布于中国最东端的孤立群种，其毛色金黄柔软，性情温和，深受人们喜爱。
