　　贵州之行接近尾声，当天下午的航班飞离贵阳。还有大半天的时间，当地的朋友建议到甲秀楼和花溪公园看看。客随主变，立刻行动。甲秀楼在贵阳市城中心的南明河上，以河中一块巨石为基而建，是远近闻名的旅游景区。

　　甲秀楼始建于明朝，后楼毁重建，改名“来凤阁”。清代甲秀楼多次重修，并恢复原名，现存建筑为宣统元年(1909年)重建。

　　甲秀楼上下三层，白石为栏，层层收进，由桥面至楼顶高约20米。南明河从楼前流过，汇为涵碧潭。楼侧由石拱“浮玉桥”连接两岸，桥上原有小亭一座叫“涵碧亭”。甲秀楼朱梁碧瓦，四周水光山色，名实相符，堪称甲秀。

　　花溪公园位于贵阳市南郊，它融真山真水、田园景色、民族风情为一体。花溪乃取其繁花似锦、溪水长流之意，花溪河畔有小山数座参差其间，或突兀孤立，或蜿蜒绵亘。

　　这里山环水绕，堰塘层迭，溪水碧绿，四季花木争奇斗媚。园内的平桥、坝上桥、放鸽桥、芙蓉洲、松柏园各逞风姿，麒山、凤山、龟山、蛇山景色别致。

　　陈毅元帅游花溪后，曾留下“真山真水到处是，花溪布局更天然”的诗句。

　　公元1638年（明崇祯11年），徐霞客在《黔游日记》中，对花溪流经的地方有五次记载。据传到了清代嘉庆、道光年间，当地柏杨寨塾师周奎家，六十五年中接连有五人科举高中。周家喜地方灵秀，于是先后在麟山建楼，龟山筑阁，蛇山种柏，缀以双亭，并在河中叠石为坝，潴水为潭，疏浅渚为洲，修隙地为屿。周奎长子周石藩还修一庭院，名“借花草堂”。从此，花溪山水初露光彩。

　　1937年，这里正式辟建为公园。在麟山上建倚天亭、飞云阁，龟山上建清晖楼，蛇山上建归咏亭。1938年至1939年，贵阳县长刘剑魂将放鹤洲一段辟为风景区，并改名为“花溪”。1940年，贵州省政府又在此基础上建“中正公园”，即花溪公园。
