Ben Gurion
was the leader of the Zionism Movement characters, known as "the
father of modern Israel." In half a century before the founding of
Israel in half a century, his immigrant thoughts and practical
activities has produced important influence on the establishment of
the state. This paper specially studies the idea and practice of
the project. The article is divided into three parts.
The first
section discusses mainly the idealism features of Ben Gurion’s
immigration thought and practice between 1903 and 1935. At that
time in relatively loose international environment, in order to
persuade more jewish immigration to Palestine, Ben Gurion play
"labor vanquishes" theory .He put the jewish labors as Zionism
practitioners, actively committed to Jewish Labour ‘s independent
and united life, thus he will depict Palestinian as an attractive
ideal picture.
The second
section through three examples discussed Ben Gurion’s realism
characteristics between1935 and 1945. In the highly stressful
international environment between pre-war and wartime, Ben Gurion
tries his best in the international society ,and exert influence on
UK through balanced Arabs by power of American jews, so that smooth
the strict limits on jewish immigrants; through the "Jewish
Federal" advocates he insisted on immigration, at the same time,
alleviate the dispute with American jews, British and Arabs; for
saving jewish children and decreasing the war influence, and trying
to acquire the goodwill support of the Britain authorities, the
Soviet union and the Turkish neutral government and Romania Nazi
authorities. These reflect the organic unity between the principle
and flexibility.
The third
section discusses mainly Ben Gurion’s radicalism features of
immigration thought and practice between 1945 and 1948. In the
postwar under the international environment of British Jude
relations is growing tension, on the one hand Ben Gurion thought of
the right of immigration to Palestinian as the jews’ survival
guarantee, and he putted forward radical immigration requirements
to Britain in the United States, the survival and guarantee in
diplomacy with radical attitude to Britain ; On the other hand took
radical struggle means to cause violence in the Palestinian
unceasingly ,gradually improved violence level, and actively led
illegal immigrants, which commissioned the serious confrontations
with ruling Britain authority. Thus, ultimately the British decided
to end the appointment rule in the Palestinian.
