世界杯开幕后，经常会在CCTV-5里听到主题歌的旋律，很喜欢，在网上搜索了一下歌词，发现网上的歌词与CCTV-5里听到的歌词有所不同，起初没弄明白是怎么回事，最后终于弄明白：原来WAVING FLAG这首歌是首老歌，这次南非世界杯用了这首歌的旋律，把主要歌词改了一下，其中高潮部分的歌词保留了。CCTV-5经常播的是老版的，歌词如下，南非世界杯版歌词在后。
